The Black & African Solidarity Show: Volume I

We hosted B.A.S.S. Volume I in London on Sunday, 19 January 2020. It was a beautiful vibe nurtured through a presentation by Kira Matthews and artists such as cyberlovesinfinity, Oracle, Ouraa and Emiko. We had Nigerian food on deck ya'll!! & Ouraa came through with beans & toast like we'd never tasted before.

The energy was electric as the artists and audience melded into one big B.A.S.S. family. Truly a night for the culture.

The Black and African Solidarity Show (B.A.S.S.) is a platform, curated for and by Black minds, which holds love, creativity and education at its core. The community is cultivated through grassroots organizing within our networks of artists and academics. B.A.S.S., as a sphere of interaction, intends to support meaningful connections and give stage for individuals of our communities to share what they have discovered along their paths.

Through the unity of our diversity, we exist as a transcultural representation of Blackness. Our mission is to uplift and provide platforms for artists across the world as we calibrate our trajectories for radically different futures.

Holding Space for Black Joy celebrates the journey of B.A.S.S. and some of the stellar individuals that constitute our community. As a collective force, we work to sustain an atmosphere in which Blackness, as our humanity, can be nurtured and appreciated.
